Artificial Intelligence (AI) is steadily becoming an integral part of human life. Many people use AI tools without even realizing it. Even the latest smartphones now come equipped with AI-powered features.
A recent survey highlighted the most widely used AI tools across the world, and ChatGPT secured the top spot.
ChatGPT tops the list with 4.7 billion monthly users worldwide. In some countries, it has become so deeply ingrained that people rely on it even for small tasks like homework and simple calculations.
In second place is Canva, with 887 million monthly users. While ChatGPT’s user base may fluctuate, Canva is expected to remain stable as most of its users are technically skilled individuals.
Google Translate takes the third spot, with 595 million monthly users. Once known for being less reliable, the tool has been upgraded significantly and is now commonly used in most mobiles and computers.
DeepSeek, which created waves globally, stands in fourth place with 268 million users. Opposition and suspicion about the Chinese app in the U.S. and several European countries have limited its growth.
In fifth place is Character.AI, another tool that has gained significant popularity.
Other tools like Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Remove.bg, and Claude have also secured places in the top 10. But despite the competition, none of them come close to matching ChatGPT’s scale and dominance.
