Massacres in Two Countries… Innocent Students Killed

Mass shootings have taken place in two countries, claiming the lives of innocent school children. The reasons behind these horrific acts remain unclear. In a school shooting in Canada, 10 people lost their lives, while around 25 students and staff members were seriously injured.

In Thailand, more than 36 people were killed, including 24 children. In the Canadian incident, the shooter was reportedly a woman, while in the Thailand attack, the gunman was said to be an 18-year-old.

In Canada’s British Columbia province, gunfire suddenly erupted at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in the Peace Region. Ten students were killed in the tragic incident. Police confirmed that the suspected female shooter was also among the dead. The sudden violence in the otherwise peaceful town of Tumbler Ridge shocked the nation. Authorities stated that since the suspect had died, there was no further threat. The injured were rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Police initially identified the suspect as a woman with brown hair. After opening fire inside the school, she reportedly shot herself. Officials have not yet disclosed the identities of the victims or the motive behind the attack. The town was placed on high alert, with heavy security deployment and bomb squad searches to rule out explosives. Residents were advised to remain indoors. The Canadian government expressed deep sorrow, calling the incident extremely tragic. The shooting has reignited debates over gun control laws in the country.

Meanwhile, in Thailand, a young man opened fire indiscriminately at a daycare center in Hat Yai city. Authorities confirmed that at least 36 people were killed, including 24 children. Security personnel rushed to the scene, but the suspect had reportedly fled, leaving behind an M4 rifle used in the attack.

Thailand has witnessed similar incidents in the past. In October 2022, a former police officer carried out a deadly attack at a school in northeastern Thailand using both a knife and a firearm.
