External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held a constructive dialogue with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, appreciating his strong condemnation of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 innocent lives.
Jaishankar also welcomed Muttaqi’s firm dismissal of false allegations, including Pakistan’s claims of Indian missile strikes on Afghan soil, aimed at sowing discord between India and Afghanistan. Emphasizing the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations, the leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation and support Afghanistan’s development needs.
In a separate event, Jaishankar jointly inaugurated the Embassy of Honduras in New Delhi, marking a new chapter in bilateral relations. He praised Honduras for condemning the Pahalgam attack and standing united against terrorism in all forms. The embassy opening reflects the growing partnership and shared vision between India and Honduras, reinforcing their mutual commitment to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties.
