30 Indians Arrested in the United States

The US government is taking a tough stand against illegal immigrants. After President Donald Trump assumed office for a second term, authorities have intensified action against people living illegally in the country. Foreign nationals staying in the US without legal status are being arrested and deported.

In the latest operation, 30 Indian nationals living illegally in the US were arrested by US Border Patrol agents. The arrests were made during inspections in the El Centro Sector of California.

Officials said some of the arrested individuals were driving semi-trucks using commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs), while others were found to be living illegally in the country.

According to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a total of 42 illegal immigrants were detained during inspections conducted between November 23 and December 12 at interstate highways and immigration checkpoints.

Among those arrested were 30 Indians, two from El Salvador, and others from China, Eritrea, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Russia, Somalia, Türkiye, and Ukraine, officials said.
