Janhvi Follows Mom's Advice In Personal Matters

Janhvi Kapoor will be starring in the upcoming film 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' beside Rajkummar Rao. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Zee Studios, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorv Mehta. 

In an interview Janhvi shared advice from her late mother, Sridevi, stressing the importance of honesty in acting. 

Sridevi told her that to be a good actor one must be an honest person in real life to avoid corrupting their instincts and authenticity on camera.

Janhvi also discussed the public's focus on her personal life over her professional work calling it a professional hazard she doesn't take too seriously. 

She feels flattered by the interest but acknowledges that personal details are easier for the audience to consume than her work which requires more investment. 

Janhvi stated that she doesn't seek validation from these distractions and is content with the opportunity to do the work she loves. 

She believes success comes when audiences watch her films, appreciate the story and the movies perform well. 

'Mr and Mrs Mahi' directed by Sharan Sharma is set to release on May 31.
