Sanjay Dutt is well-known for his blunt and no-nonsense attitude—and he lived up to that reputation yet again. Recently in Hyderabad for a film promotion, the Bollywood veteran grabbed attention with his bold statements. Now, he’s made headlines in Chennai as well.
During the promotion of his upcoming Kannada film, Sanjay Dutt recalled his experience working on the Tamil blockbuster "Leo", where he starred alongside Thalapathy Vijay.
In Leo, Sanjay Dutt played Anthony Das, Vijay’s father—a character portrayed as powerful by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Despite this, Dutt openly admitted that he wasn't satisfied with the role.
“I’m actually very angry with Lokesh Kanagaraj. He didn’t give me a strong role. He wasted me in Leo,” said Sanjay Dutt, leaving the Tamil media surprised.
While Anthony Das had limited screen time, many viewers felt his entry elevated the film to the next level. Critics and fans appreciated the impact of his character, though its presence was short.
However, Dutt’s latest comments reveal that he expected more depth and substance in the role. He felt that his image and talent were underutilized, and he didn’t hold back in voicing his disappointment.
His remarks have now sparked discussion among fans and film circles alike, with many wondering how directors will approach casting Dutt in future South Indian projects.
