The spread of COVID-19 continues in India, though there was a slight dip in daily case numbers yesterday. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry, 101 new positive cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, and 11 people succumbed to the virus.
Kerala currently has the highest number of active cases at 1,920, followed by Gujarat with 1,433, West Bengal with 747, Delhi with 649, Karnataka with 591, Maharashtra with 540, Uttar Pradesh with 275, Rajasthan with 222, and Tamil Nadu with 220. This brings the total number of active COVID-19 cases in the country to 7,264.
Among the reported fatalities, seven deaths occurred in Kerala, while one each was reported in Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. With these new fatalities, the total number of COVID-related deaths since January this year has risen to 108.
