Wife Enters Honeymoon Suite with a Knife

In recent times, incidents of wives murdering or attempting to kill their husbands have been alarmingly on the rise. Every day, similar news is surfacing in the media. Recently, such cases were reported in Anantapur district and Hyderabad’s Jeedimetla. The cruelty among women appears to be increasing, and husbands are now terrified of their wives — some even singing, “Solo life is so much better.”

Many daughters fall in love with someone, but due to parental pressure or societal expectations, they end up in forced marriages. Not long after tying the knot, some of them, with the help of their lovers, eliminate their husbands. Some women continue extramarital affairs even after marriage and having children — going as far as plotting to murder their husbands. Many such shocking incidents are being reported.

One such husband, who narrowly escaped becoming a victim of his wife's murderous intent, is now breathing a sigh of relief. The horrifying incident took place in Uttar Pradesh. A newly married couple, Sitara and Nishad, had just tied the knot.

The honeymoon night — traditionally a cherished and memorable moment for newlyweds — turned unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. Instead of entering the room with a glass of milk as per tradition, Sitara walked in holding a knife. She gave her husband a chilling warning and demanded that he take her on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath.

Nishad was instantly reminded of the Raja Raghuvamsi murder case, where a wife had eloped with her cousin. Sitara, on their very first night together, confessed to Nishad that she was in love with her cousin Aman and planned to run away with him. She warned him that if he told anyone, she would kill him. Aman, her lover, also sent threatening messages, saying he and his friends would kill Nishad if he interfered.

Sitara insisted on going to Kedarnath, but Nishad, fearing a fate like the Raghuvamsi murder, refused. Sitara stayed in his home for three days and then escaped in the middle of the night by jumping over the wall and running away with her lover.

Nishad later revealed that during those three days, he couldn’t sleep a wink, fearing she might kill him at any moment. Now, even the word "marriage" sends shivers down his spine. He said if he had taken her to Kedarnath as she asked, who knows what might have happened to him.
