Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has been claiming for months that he possesses "bombshell" evidence of voter fraud in favor of the BJP, presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation today. At a press conference held at Indira Bhavan in Delhi, Rahul revealed what he called shocking details related to voter fraud. Once again, he reiterated that the evidence in his possession is explosive.
Rahul stated that the Congress had long suspected voter manipulation at the state level. He said the party conducted a six-month independent investigation and unearthed critical evidence. “The day this bomb explodes, the Election Commission won’t be able to hide,” Rahul warned, adding that even retired officials won’t be spared.
He alleged that irregularities occurred not only in the Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra Assembly elections but also in the Lok Sabha elections. According to him, voter rolls were tampered with to illegally add millions of new voters. Rahul claimed that a deep investigation revealed the Election Commission's complicity in the scam.
He specifically accused the Election Commission of colluding with the BJP during the Maharashtra elections, pointing out anomalies such as 80 voters registered at a single address and some voter ID cards listing house numbers as “0.” He also questioned how one voter could appear across four polling booths.
Referring to the Karnataka Lok Sabha elections, Rahul said Congress had expected to win 16 seats but secured only 9. To understand what went wrong, a special team was formed, he said. He raised further suspicion over how a single-bedroom house could have 48 registered voters or 100 voters with the same Government Order (GO) number.
Rahul claimed that in the Bengaluru Central constituency, particularly in the Mahadevapura Assembly segment, a massive voter scam had taken place. He said they discovered over 100,000 fraudulent votes in that area. In Mahadevapura alone, over 10,000 voter ID cards were linked to a single address, and nearly 10,000 votes were cast using a single voter card, he alleged. BJP reportedly won that segment by a margin of 1,14,046 votes, Rahul added.
He also said that in Maharashtra, the number of votes cast exceeded the actual population in some areas. On election day, after 5 p.m., there was an unusual spike in voter turnout, which he found suspicious given the visible lack of people at polling booths.
Rahul further alleged that lakhs of votes were removed in Bihar. He said BJP always seems to be immune in regions where there is strong anti-incumbency sentiment.
Calling the Election Commission’s alleged involvement in vote rigging a serious crime, Rahul said, “This is nothing short of treason.” He warned that anyone working against the nation’s interest will not be spared.
