The Election Commission of India has released the schedule for the Vice President election. Dhankhar has unexpectedly resigned from the post of Vice President. According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission, the Vice President election will be held on September 9. The official notification for the election will be issued on August 7. Nominations will be accepted until August 21, and scrutiny of nominations will be conducted on August 22. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is August 25. If there is more than one candidate, polling will be held.

The voting will take place on September 9 from 10 AM to 5 PM, and the counting of votes will also happen on the same day. With this, Indian politics is set to witness another interesting phase.
