Tragedy in Andhra.. Over 20 Feared Charred to Death

A horrific fire accident occurred in Andhrapradesh, Kurnool district. A V. Kaveri private travels bus traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught fire near Chinnatekur on National Highway 44, on the outskirts of Kurnool. The tragic incident took place around 3:30 a.m. on Friday, and according to preliminary police reports, more than 20 people were burned alive.

The accident happened when a two-wheeler collided with the rear of the bus near Ulindakonda, causing the bike to crash into the bus’s fuel tank, which immediately burst into flames. The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire bus.

There were 39 passengers on board at the time. Most of them were fast asleep when the fire broke out, leading to chaos and cries for help. The driver and cleaner managed to escape, while 12 passengers sustained minor injuries and were rescued. However, over 20 passengers were reportedly burnt alive.

Police rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. The injured have been shifted to Kurnool General Hospital for treatment.
