Sonia Gandi Unwell

Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is unwell and has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. She is currently 79 years old. Congress sources said she has age-related health issues. Sonia Gandhi has been suffering from a persistent cough for a long time and had earlier faced respiratory problems as well.

In the past, her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi had taken her to the hospital and stayed with her during medical examinations. She later recovered. Now, she is once again facing health issues. She has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital with chest-related problems and is undergoing treatment. Doctors said her condition is currently stable.

This has brought relief to Congress leaders and workers. Between 2004 and 2014, Sonia Gandhi led the Congress-led coalition government. With Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister, she served for a long period as the UPA Chairperson and played a key role in governance.

In 2014, there was a change of government at the national level, with the Modi-led government coming to power. For the past 12 years, Narendra Modi has been leading the country. Under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, the opposition has so far been unable to effectively challenge the BJP.
