Sonakshi Sinha Slams Mumbai Road Woes

Actress Sonakshi Sinha took a sharp dig at the poor road conditions in Mumbai, especially during monsoons. She shared a video of an innovative road technology from Germany that absorbs rainwater and prevents potholes. Using sarcasm, she questioned why Mumbai authorities fail to find a lasting solution and continue digging up roads every year, despite the recurring problem of waterlogging.

In her Instagram story, Sonakshi mocked the constant road repairs and sarcastically commented on the lack of “concrete” solutions while the city suffers in the rains. Her remark came amid early monsoon showers that led to heavy waterlogging in several areas of Mumbai.

Other celebrities like Vivek Agnihotri also criticised the civic situation. He pointed out how elite areas like Napean Sea Road flood with just one downpour. On the work front, Sonakshi will soon be seen in Nikita Roy, releasing on June 27, 2025, and has completed her Telugu debut Jatadhara.
