In the major explosion case near the Red Fort in Delhi, NIA officials suspect Dr. Umar Muhammad to be the main mastermind. The Central Government has taken the terror attack very seriously and has accelerated the investigation. As part of this probe, Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested six people, including Dr. Umar’s family members and others.
Those arrested include Dr. Umar’s mother Shameena Bhano, his brothers Ashiq Ahmad and Jahr Ahmad, along with plumber Amir Rasheed and bank security guard Tariq Malik. However, it is still unclear whether Dr. Umar died by suicide during the blast or whether someone else executed the explosion under his direction. Reports say three people were in the car at the time of the explosion, and their bodies were completely charred beyond recognition.
Authorities are conducting DNA tests to identify the deceased. Officials believe that questioning the arrested suspects will reveal the full details. CCTV footage has already helped track the car’s movements from morning to evening before the explosion. Based on this evidence, the investigation is progressing, and several more suspects are being interrogated.
