Shocking: Ajit Pawar Dies In Plane Crash

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar has died in a plane crash. The plane he was travelling in met with an accident while attempting an emergency landing at Baramati in Maharashtra this morning. The DGCA has announced that Ajit Pawar and six others were killed in the incident.

The accident reportedly occurred while he was travelling by plane to visit his home constituency of Baramati in view of the local elections. Due to a technical issue in the aircraft, an attempt was made to carry out an emergency landing, during which the plane crashed.

The incident took place around 9 am, nearly an hour after the aircraft took off from Mumbai. Initial reports said the injured were shifted to hospitals immediately after the crash, but the civil aviation authorities later announced that all those involved in the accident had died.

Ajit Pawar has been serving as Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister along with Eknath Shinde since December 5, 2024. He had earlier served as Deputy Chief Minister in the Eknath Shinde government as well. Ajit Pawar, who began his political career alongside his uncle Sharad Pawar, split with him two years ago, became his political rival, and is currently sharing power with the BJP.
