Rajasthan: Shocking Number Of Illegal Bangladeshis

In a statewide crackdown launched after the Pahalgam terror attack, the Rajasthan government has identified over 900 illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants residing with forged or no documents. Special task forces across 14 districts—including Jaipur, Sikar, and Alwar—were mobilized to carry out this mission, which began on April 30.

The identified individuals, including 341 children, 284 women, and 376 men, were engaged in various low-wage occupations like domestic work, garbage collection, brick kiln labor, and masonry. Authorities have confirmed that some detainees also possess criminal records. All have been relocated to 24 detention centers across the state pending deportation procedures.

A senior official stated that these immigrants will be sent to West Bengal for repatriation once central government clearance is received. On May 15, the state had already deported 148 such individuals, with more deportations in process as the campaign intensifies.
