Rahul Gandhi Granted Bail

Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi has been granted bail by the MP-MLA court in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, in a defamation case filed against him for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Rahul personally appeared before the court on Wednesday.

Ahead of his appearance, security was heightened around the court premises, with local authorities making necessary arrangements to ensure law and order. Rahul arrived in Chaibasa from Ranchi via helicopter, landing at the helipad set up at Tata College Grounds.

He was already in Jharkhand to attend the last rites of former Chief Minister Shibu Soren on Tuesday.
