Operation Sindoor: Key Briefing Highlights Today

On Monday, the Indian Armed Forces held a joint press briefing detailing Operation Sindoor. Senior officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force clarified that India's action was targeted solely at terrorist camps and not directed at Pakistan as a nation. However, they held Pakistan accountable for the consequences due to its military’s interference in support of terror groups.

Air Marshal AK Bharti highlighted the role of India’s indigenous air defence system, Akash, in neutralizing Pakistani drones. He credited government policy and budgetary backing for building such a strong defensive network. The Indian Air Force also presented images of its successful strikes and displayed debris of a Pakistani missile reportedly used in the attack.

Vice Admiral AN Pramod emphasized the Navy’s all-domain operational readiness, while Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai described India’s layered air defence as nearly impenetrable, likening it to a cricket strategy where every layer is ready to strike back if needed.
