Modi Ridicules Rahul Gandhi On Rae Bareli Decision

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today predicted that the Congress party will perform poorly in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections especially with Rahul Gandhi's decision to contest from Rae Bareli instead of Wayanad.

Modi accused Congress of favoring its "jihadi vote bank" over the interests of Scheduled Castes, Dalits, and OBCs.

He criticized the Congress and other opposition parties for allegedly supporting divisive remarks made by a Samajwadi Party candidate.

Modi took a dig at Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi suggesting that their actions indicate a fear of defeat.

“There is no need for opinion polls or exit polls, as I had talked about their (Congress) defeat long back in Parliament. When their senior leader quit her Lok Sabha seat and entered Parliament through Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan, it was evident that they sensed defeat,” Modi spoke today.

“Now, the ‘shehzada’ of Congress, who went to Wayanad in Kerala after losing the Amethi seat is also contesting from Rae Bareli. He knows he would lose Wayanad this time,” he jibed.

Modi challenged Congress to assure in writing that they won't amend the Constitution to provide reservations based on religion.

He also accused the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal of marginalizing Hindus in the state.
