Mithun Da Gives Tough Political Warning

Mithun Da Gives Tough Political Warning

In Bengal's tense political landscape, actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty recently stirred controversy with a violent speech targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress.

Referring to a past inflammatory comment by Trinamool leader Humayun Kabir, Chakraborty threatened rivals, claiming the BJP would “do anything” to secure Bengal's leadership in the 2026 Assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended this event endorsing the BJP's aggressive stance.

Chakraborty called on BJP supporters to fearlessly confront their opponents, and made provocative statements about defending Hindu voting rights accusing the Trinamool of obstructing them. The Trinamool dismissed Chakraborty's threats as insignificant with party leaders questioning whether he, like Kabir, would face censure from the Election Commission.

Amit Shah also criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for "state-sponsored infiltration" and assured BJP's victory in Bengal. Trinamool leaders laughed off Shah's remarks, recalling similar unsuccessful BJP claims in past elections.
