Man Arrested for Seeking INS Vikrant's Location

As tensions escalate and Indian fighter jets continue their offensive against Pakistan, a major security incident has emerged involving India’s frontline warship, INS Vikrant. A suspicious phone call was received at the Kochi Naval Base, asking for the coordinates of the aircraft carrier.

The caller, identifying himself as Raghavan, claimed he was speaking from the Prime Minister’s Office and demanded to know the exact location of INS Vikrant. Sensing something unusual, the naval officer who answered the call immediately hung up and alerted the police.

Following an investigation, the authorities arrested Mujeeb Rehman, a resident of Kozhikode district in Kerala. It was found that he switched off his phone soon after making the call. However, using advanced technical tools, police were able to trace and apprehend him.

Rehman's family claims that he has been suffering from mental health issues for some time. To verify this, medical examinations are currently being conducted. Police are also probing whether he acted on his own or if someone else instructed him to make the call.

In response to the incident, the Indian Navy issued a warning, stating that making fake calls or attempting to obtain sensitive military information is a criminal offense. Officials also reminded the public that even searching for such sensitive information on platforms like Google could be considered a legal violation.
