A tragic accident occurred on Friday morning in Chinnayanapalya area of Bengaluru, Karnataka. An LPG gas cylinder exploded in a house, killing a boy and leaving 12 others seriously injured. Police rushed to the spot upon receiving the information and monitored the situation.
The impact of the explosion caused the house’s roof to collapse completely and the walls to crumble. Locals suspect that the accident might not have been caused solely by the gas cylinder blast and believe that other explosive materials could have triggered it, judging by the severity of the damage.
However, police have initially confirmed that the accident was due to the LPG cylinder explosion and stated that a thorough investigation will be conducted to reveal the facts. Locals said many residents had already left for work in the morning, which helped prevent a higher death toll. They noted that if more people had been at home, the casualties could have been worse.
The injured were identified as Kasturamma (35), Sarasamma (50), Shabeerana Banu (35), Subramani (62), Sheikh Najeed Ullah (37), and Fatima (8). All were shifted to Sanjay Gandhi and Jayanagar Hospitals for treatment.
