I'll cut you into 55 pieces if you come between our love

A disturbing trend has been emerging across the country in recent times. More and more cases are coming to light where wives involved in love affairs are either killing their husbands themselves or hiring others to do so. While forced marriages or arranged ones may lead to dissatisfaction or resentment, what’s alarming is that even those who married for love are now falling for someone else and resorting to murder. In the end, they gain nothing but a one-way ticket to jail.

Not long ago, there was a sensational case where a woman warned her husband on the first night, saying, “If you touch me, I’ll cut you into 35 pieces,” and later eloped with her lover. Another shocking case that made headlines was from Indore, where a woman named Sonam Raghuvanshi allegedly had her husband killed during their honeymoon.

Now, a similar case has surfaced. A wife reportedly threatened her husband, saying she would chop him into 55 pieces and stuff him into a drum if he came between her and her lover.

The husband had even allowed his wife to live with her lover. This woman, who already had a one-year-old son, fell in love with another man through the online game PUBG. The incident took place in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh.

The woman, Aradhana, got married to a man named Sheelu from Mahoba in 2022. However, within a few months of marriage, she became addicted to PUBG. Through the game, she met a man named Shivam from Ludhiana, Punjab, and their friendship soon turned into love. They began talking frequently on the phone.

Noticing a change in Aradhana’s behavior, her husband confronted and hit her. She informed Shivam about it, and he immediately arrived at her in-laws’ house in Mahoba. His sudden arrival shocked Sheelu and his family.

Aradhana then declared that she no longer wanted to live with her husband and child, and insisted on going with Shivam. Sheelu filed a police complaint. Police took Shivam into custody, and at the station, Aradhana made it clear that she didn’t want her husband but wanted to live with her lover.

She claimed her husband was an alcoholic who abused her regularly. She told police she wanted nothing to do with her husband or child, and wanted to leave with Shivam. Eventually, Sheelu accepted her decision and let her go.

Love can spark from anywhere and for any reason, but if someone doesn’t wish to live with their spouse, they can always opt for a divorce. But choosing to brutally kill one’s partner for the sake of love—how does that ever end well? In almost every case, the only outcome is a jail sentence, not happiness.
