A tragic fire incident occurred in the national capital, Delhi, on Tuesday morning. A massive blaze broke out in an apartment located in the Dwarka area, resulting in the deaths of three members of the same family.
The fire erupted around 9:58 AM in the Shapath Society located in Dwarka Sector-13. Flames quickly spread through the 8th and 9th floors of the apartment building. As panic set in, several residents attempted to escape the fire by jumping from the building.
In a desperate bid to save themselves, two 10-year-old children jumped from the balcony, followed by their father, 35-year-old Yash Yadav. All three sustained critical injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals, where doctors confirmed that they had succumbed to their injuries.
Several other residents were reportedly trapped inside the building. Firefighters arrived at the scene promptly and are working with eight fire engines to bring the blaze under control and rescue those still inside.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and an investigation is currently underway.
