Eight Diamonds Found by Laborer Couple

Eight Diamonds Found by Laborer Couple

A laborer couple from Madhya Pradesh struck unexpected fortune when they discovered not one or two, but eight diamonds while working in a mine. Hargovind and Pawan Devi, residents of Katia village in Chhatarpur district, have been working as laborers for the past five years at the Nissar mine in Panna district. Until now, they had been surviving solely on daily wages.

After years of hard work and hope, their patience has finally paid off. The couple recently stumbled upon eight diamonds, which local officials estimate to be worth around Rs 12 lakhs. However, experts will assess the actual market value. Once that is determined and the diamonds are auctioned, the government will deduct applicable taxes and hand over the remaining amount to Hargovind's family.

Speaking to the media, an emotional Hargovind said, "It feels like God has finally shown us mercy." He also revealed that he had found a diamond once before, but sold it for just Rs 1 lakh, unaware of its true value at the time.

This discovery could be life-changing for the couple, who have endured years of hardship in hopes of a better future.
