Chilling Truth Behind the 'Honeymoon Murder'

Chilling Truth Behind the 'Honeymoon Murder'

The sensational "honeymoon murder" case that shocked the nation has finally been cracked by the police. Investigators have gathered solid evidence proving that Sonam orchestrated the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. She has now been transferred from Indore to Meghalaya, where the case is being investigated by local police.

Before their marriage, Sonam was reportedly in a relationship with Raj Kushwaha — a man who, ironically, worked at Raja Raghuvanshi’s own company. Sonam and Raj conspired together to eliminate Raja. They hired three contract killers and had him murdered.

The police successfully unraveled the conspiracy. Investigations revealed that Sonam actively assisted the assailants during the murder. Shockingly, she also helped them dispose of Raja’s body by pushing it into a gorge.

After the murder, Sonam quietly returned to Indore and then traveled to Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. It was there that she eventually surrendered to the police. Before doing so, she destroyed her mobile phone to erase any digital evidence.

After her arrest, Sonam tried to mislead investigators by claiming she had been kidnapped and later alleging that the police drugged her. However, all these claims were proven to be false.

Meanwhile, her lover Raj Kushwaha pretended to have no connection to the crime. In fact, he stayed with Raja’s family after the murder, even comforting Raja’s father and taking part in the funeral rites. Eventually, he absconded — but was later caught by police without much difficulty.

Perhaps the most disturbing part of this entire case is the financial detail: Sonam initially struck a deal with the hitmen for Rs 4 lakh. When they refused, she raised the offer to Rs  20 lakh — and used money taken from Raja himself to fund the murder. She even took an additional Rs  15,000 from him in Meghalaya and handed it over to the killers.

In short, Sonam used her husband’s own money to have him killed — a deeply tragic and chilling betrayal.
