Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar mistakenly referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Atal Bihari Vajpayee during a public rally in Karakat, sparking buzz on social media. In the viral video, Kumar appears to pause and fumble before naming the former PM Vajpayee instead of Modi. He quickly tried to recover, saying, “Atal Bihari Vajpayee toh pehle kaam kiye the,” and then asked the crowd to greet the Prime Minister.
The slip-up is the latest in a string of recent public blunders by Kumar. Earlier this year, he was caught clapping unexpectedly during a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, and in March, he was filmed laughing and chatting during the National Anthem at a sports event.
On the same day, PM Modi addressed the public in Bihar, stating that India's fight against terrorism remains firm and ongoing, with a warning that any threat will be crushed—whether from across the border or within.
