Under the name Operation Sindoor, India conducted targeted strikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan. Approximately 100 terrorists were neutralized, and around nine terrorist camps were completely destroyed. At that time, Pakistan tried to mislead the world with false narratives, while simultaneously carrying out scattered firing along the border. Mortar attacks were also launched on Indian border villages, leading to the death of over 15 Indian civilians.
If Pakistan had stopped at that point, things might have ended better for them. However, they went too far. Pakistan continuously attempted to launch attacks on Indian territory. Not only along the border villages, but also targeting areas in Rajasthan, Pakistan tried to attack using drones and missiles aimed at Indian villages and military installations.
Sensing these attacks in advance, India responded immediately. The Indian military stated that it intercepted and destroyed the missiles while they were still in Pakistani airspace.
India has shown a great deal of restraint all along. Even when Pakistan spread false propaganda accusing India of provocation, India handled the situation with composure. The Indian Army clarified that it was Pakistan that initiated the provocative actions, beginning with the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on April 22. In response to that, India carefully carried out strikes solely on terrorist camps, avoiding harm to the Pakistani military or civilians.
Had Pakistan remained silent after that, things might have de-escalated. But because they continued their aggression, Indian forces are now responding with full force.
Not only did India intercept Pakistan’s missiles mid-air, but it also reportedly destroyed Pakistan’s air defense systems in Lahore. Reports suggest that missile strikes were carried out on several cities in Pakistan. Many are saying that Operation Sindoor is a morally justified action to suppress terrorism. And if Pakistan refuses to acknowledge this and continues its aggression, then what India has shown so far is just a trailer—the real impact is yet to come.
