Kamal Haasan Shares Rajya Sabha Joy with Rajinikanth

Veteran Tamil cinema legends Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth came together recently, marking a heartfelt moment between two longtime friends. Following his nomination to the Rajya Sabha, Kamal Haasan visited Rajinikanth’s residence to personally share the good news. Kamal himself shared the update via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

“I shared the news of my new journey as a Rajya Sabha MP with my friend Rajinikanth. It was a moment of great joy,” Kamal wrote, along with photos of the visit. In the pictures, Kamal is seen showing his Rajya Sabha nomination order to Rajinikanth, while another captures the two stars in a warm embrace. These images have since gone viral on social media.

Kamal Haasan, the leader of the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) party, supported the DMK during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As per the alliance agreement, DMK nominated Kamal Haasan to the Rajya Sabha, and he was elected unopposed.

On the film front, Kamal Haasan recently appeared in Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. Rajinikanth is currently working on Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is set to release on August 14. He is also teaming up again with director Nelson for Jailer 2.
