Heroin Oviya demands Vijay’s arrest over Karur stampede

The tragic incident at actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay’s Meet the People campaign in Karur on Saturday night has shaken Tamil Nadu politics. A stampede during the rally left 39 people dead and over 50 injured.

In this backdrop, actress Oviya demanded Vijay’s arrest, holding him responsible for the deaths and injuries. She posted on Instagram calling for “Arrest Vijay.” However, her remarks triggered a massive backlash from Vijay’s fans, who bombarded her with abusive comments.

Unable to bear the flood of abuses, Oviya deleted her post. Later, she indirectly hit back at the trolls with a philosophical note:

“Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, and a tragedy for the poor.”

Her statement, while deeply reflective, also appeared to express sympathy for the victims who lost their lives in Vijay’s rally.
