Who is the highest-paid actor in Tollywood? There hasn’t been much debate about it so far. Prabhas has long been one of the top three highest-paid actors not only in Tollywood but across India. But now, Allu Arjun has reportedly overtaken him.
Allu Arjun is currently working on a film with director Atlee, and according to reports, he is being paid a whopping Rs 175 crore for this project.
In fact, sources say that remuneration issues were one of the main reasons for the delay in announcing this film. Following the massive success of Pushpa: The Rule and Atlee’s blockbuster Jawan, both Allu Arjun and Atlee were firm about not compromising on their fees.
After long discussions and negotiations, the project was finally confirmed. Thus, Allu Arjun is said to be charging Rs 175 crore for this film.
The movie is said to be a sci-fi adventure, with an estimated budget of around Rs 700 crore. Out of this, about Rs 260 crore is reportedly being allocated just for visual effects (VFX).
After VFX, the biggest chunk of the budget is going toward remunerations. Allu Arjun, Atlee, and Deepika Padukone, who plays the female lead, are all charging hefty amounts.
The film is being produced under the Sun Pictures banner, with music composed by Sai Abhyankar.
