The film War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has been undergoing multiple rounds of trimming before its release, leading to repeated censor approvals. The team, however, has not revealed why so many cuts are being made to the content.
Initially, the movie was locked at a runtime of 182 minutes 49 seconds, and the censor process was completed. But soon after, the makers decided to remove nearly 9 minutes of footage, bringing the runtime down to 173 minutes 24 seconds for the Hindi version, and sent it for censor clearance again.
Just when everything seemed set, War 2 went through yet another trimming session, with an additional 2 minutes of scenes cut. The Telugu version’s final runtime now stands at 171 minutes 44 seconds — meaning the film has been trimmed three times in total.
As per the latest reports, some scenes featuring Kiara Advani have been cut from the Telugu version. The pre-release event will be held tomorrow in Hyderabad, with both Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan attending.
