Anupama Parameswaran, who made her debut in Malayalam films and later became popular in Telugu and Tamil cinema, recalled her bitter experiences from her early career.
"After Premam, I faced a lot of trolling. At 17, I went through severe mental stress. Many people sidelined me, saying I didn’t know how to act," she said.
Anupama added that those trolls and the mental struggles gave her the determination to rise stronger. Around the same time, she began getting offers from Telugu cinema, which gave her a chance to prove herself. Looking back on her 17-year-old self, she said she now feels proud of how far she has come.
Anupama stated that she’s always open to working in Malayalam films and is waiting for suitable roles. Although she had a few opportunities earlier, she couldn’t take them up due to her busy schedule in Telugu cinema.
Having done nearly half a dozen films this year, Anupama announced that she will definitely act in a Malayalam film next year. She also mentioned that she stopped caring about criticism and social media trolls a long time ago.
