Kangana Ranaut clarified a controversial photo circulating on social media. The picture showed her with a man alleged to be gangster Abu Salem.
Kangana, now the BJP candidate for Himachal Pradesh's Mandi Lok Sabha seat, explained on Instagram that the man is actually former journalist Mark Manuel, not Abu Salem.
She accused Congress officials of spreading false information and shared that the picture was taken at a film promotion event.
Last week Kangana shared pictures with PM Narendra Modi who visited Mandi on May 24 for a rally.
She expressed her gratitude for working under PM Modi's leadership praising his developmental efforts and stating her commitment to the progress of Mandi.
Kangana is set to star in the film 'Emergency' portraying Indira Gandhi.
Written by Ritesh Shah who also wrote her previous film 'Dhaakad' the movie features actors Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade. The release date is yet to be decided.
