Plane Crashes: Fate of 242 Passengers Still Unclear

A major tragedy struck Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where an Air India flight bound for London crashed shortly after takeoff. According to initial reports, the flight had 242 passengers on board at the time of the incident. It remains unclear how many have survived.

The aircraft reportedly hit a tree and crashed into a residential area just minutes after taking off. The crash led to thick black smoke billowing into the sky, causing panic among local residents.

As soon as the accident was reported, 12 fire engines and multiple ambulances rushed to the scene. Firefighters are making intense efforts to control the blaze, while rescue teams are working to pull survivors from the wreckage.

Some injured passengers have already been transported to hospitals in Ahmedabad, sources say. However, official confirmation on the number of survivors is still awaited, and the exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined. Reports also suggest that a few prominent individuals might have been on board.

In response to the disaster, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah reportedly called Gujarat's Chief Minister to inquire about the situation. They have directed authorities to ensure immediate medical care for the injured without any delays.
