Gun Shots Fired At AIMIM Leader

In the early hours of Monday, Abdul Malik, the former mayor of Malegaon and a key member of the AIMIM party, was shot by two unidentified attackers in Nashik district. 

Malik was sitting outside a shop near a petrol pump on Old Agra Road when the assailants, riding a motorbike, fired at him, hitting his chest, hand and leg. 

Malik was quickly taken to a hospital where his condition is said to be stable, as per doctors. 

A video showing the aftermath of the incident was shared online detailing the shooting and showing the scene. 

Police have registered a case against the unknown attackers under the charge of attempted murder. 

An investigation and search operation are underway to find the culprits who are still not caught.
