After nearly three weeks of grand celebration and intense competition, the 72nd Miss World pageant is reaching its final stage. Tonight, the world will find out who will be crowned Miss World 2024. The grand finale is set to take place in a glittering ceremony at HITEX, Hyderabad.
The Telangana Government has taken the event very seriously, making elaborate arrangements for the finale. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and several state ministers are expected to attend the ceremony. In a generous move, the government has also allowed 1,000 members of the general public to attend the event.
A total of 108 contestants from around the globe participated in this prestigious beauty pageant. Through various rounds of elimination, 40 finalists were selected to compete in today’s event. From these, two semi-finalists per continent will be chosen, making a total of 8 semi-finalists.
Then, one finalist per continent will be selected, leaving 4 final contestants. Among them, one will be crowned Miss World, while the other three will be declared the first, second, and third runners-up.
The reigning Miss World 2023, Karolina Bielawska, will place the crown on the new winner.
The chief judge for the event is actor Sonu Sood.
The judging panel also includes Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar, along with three others.
Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is set to perform at the grand finale.
The entire event will be broadcast across 120 countries, making it one of the most widely viewed international events.
The winner of Miss World 2024 will receive:
