Samantha Reveals Her Slim Physique Secret

After a long break, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has finally opened up about her diet and food habits, giving fans a glimpse into what keeps her fit and glowing.

Once a hardcore non-vegetarian, Samantha couldn’t go without fish in her meals—especially salmon, which was her absolute favorite. Her conversations with close friend Vennela Kishore often revolved around food, she reveals.

But that was all before her myositis diagnosis. After battling the autoimmune condition, Samantha completely overhauled her eating habits. She now gives top priority to a plant-based diet and mindful eating.

Like most people, she eats three meals a day, but with great care. Her breakfast is extremely simple—often limited to smoothies. For lunch, she insists on including green leafy vegetables and fresh produce.

Her typical lunch includes cauliflower, sprouted legumes, and broccoli. However, she avoids certain greens—spinach, in particular, is off her list.

A major constant in her cooking is turmeric, which she makes sure to include in all her dishes for its health benefits. She also prefers using ghee (clarified butter) made from cow's milk instead of oils.

Interestingly, Samantha doesn’t believe in the "cheat meal" concept. While many follow strict diets during the week and indulge once in a while, she sticks to a consistent diet every single day, no matter what.

And what about her travel-heavy shooting schedules? Samantha has a smart fix for that too. Her assistant turns into a chef during shoots, having learned how to prepare all of Samantha’s regular meals exactly the way she likes them.
