Ranveer Illtreated By Assam Police?

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia appeared before the Assam police in Guwahati on Friday over his controversial remarks on India’s Got Latent. A viral video shows him being escorted by police, with some shoving involved. He was questioned for over four hours by the Crime Branch, led by Joint Commissioner Ankur Jain.

Allahbadia, accompanied by his lawyer, cooperated with the investigation and assured police of further support. Jain stated that four others involved, including comedians Ashish Chanchlani and Jaspreet Singh, are yet to appear, with some claiming to be out of the country.

Multiple FIRs were filed nationwide over his comments on parents and sex. The Guwahati Police registered a case under various laws, including the IT Act and Cinematograph Act. Though the Supreme Court granted him interim protection, it called his remarks "vulgar" and "shameful." The investigation is ongoing, with further questioning expected.

However, netizens are slamming Assam police for acting in an insulting manner with Ranveer, as he is not a terrorist or criminal but only a social media personality who made some anti-moral statements.
