Mangli Caught in Ganja Controversy

Singer Mangli is no stranger to controversies. Until now, most of the issues she faced were limited to her professional sphere. But this time, it’s a different matter altogether — she’s reportedly caught up in a ganja case.

Mangli recently celebrated her birthday by throwing a party for her friends at a large resort near Eerlapalli on the outskirts of Chevella, Hyderabad. Acting on a tip-off about a big party, the police conducted a surprise raid on the resort. During the search, they reportedly found ganja.

As a result, the police registered a case against both Mangli and the resort management. This case could pose a serious problem for her, especially since the police claim to have solid evidence — including video footage where Mangli is clearly visible.

In the past, Mangli faced several controversies. Religious groups were outraged over the lyrics of one of her songs. Earlier this year, she was involved in another dispute during the Ratha Saptami celebrations in Arasavalli, Srikakulam district. Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu personally escorted her into the temple, which sparked criticism from TDP supporters. Many questioned why a TDP MP was backing a singer who had previously performed songs in support of the YSRCP.

Mangli, who often finds herself in the middle of controversies, now faces her most serious issue yet — a drug-related case. As of now, she has not issued any public statement regarding the incident.
