Historic Disaster… What’s Rashmika’s Situation?

Do you know what the biggest disaster in Salman Khan’s career is? Though there are several contenders, the ultimate disaster is Yuvvraaj (2008). Despite having a legendary director like Subhash Ghai, a glamorous star like Katrina Kaif, and music by the maestro A.R. Rahman, nothing could save that film.

Now, after all these years, Salman has delivered a film that’s being compared to Yuvvraaj — Sikandar. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the movie has been such a setback that even Salman’s own fans are saying it has pushed his career back by a decade. As a result, Sikandar now stands as the second biggest disaster in Salman’s career.

The female lead in this debacle? Rashmika Mandanna. Naturally, one would expect her to be blamed and tagged as a "flop heroine." But interestingly, Rashmika seems to have escaped the backlash this time. The failure of Sikandar has mostly been attributed to Murugadoss and Salman, and very few have pointed fingers at Rashmika — a stroke of luck for her.

But how long will her luck last?

Rashmika now needs a solid hit — urgently. If she doesn’t deliver one soon, people won’t hesitate to label her an “iron leg” (a jinxed actress). For now, her performance in Chhava and the film’s success have helped keep her afloat in Bollywood.

Down South, her next major release Kubera is gearing up. If that clicks at the box office, she won’t need to look back — at least for a while.
