After director Atlee made waves in Bollywood, it’s now the turn of another South sensation—Lokesh Kanagaraj—to step into Hindi cinema. The buzz is strong: Lokesh is all set to make his Bollywood debut with none other than Aamir Khan.
The project featuring Aamir Khan in a superhero role has reportedly been locked. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of next year.
Despite earlier claims of staying away from acting, Aamir Khan continues to sign high-profile projects. This new film will mark his return after Taare Zameen Par—not as a director this time, but in a bold, new avatar as a superhero, a first in his career.
Sources say the film will feature Hollywood-style high-octane action sequences, with Aamir preparing intensely for the role.
There were earlier rumors that Aamir was planning a sequel to PK, but the actor has clarified that PK 2 is not happening. However, he has shown interest in working on a biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema.
Aamir also made headlines by stating that the Mahabharata would be his final film. Although there’s no concrete timeline for when that project might materialize, the actor has reiterated that if and when he does make it, it will be the last film of his career.
For now, all eyes are on this exciting new collaboration between Bollywood’s perfectionist and Kollywood’s action maestro.
