Aishwarya Rai Seven Years Busy

Aishwarya Rai Seven Years Busy

In the film industry, saying "yes" to a story is considered tough — but saying "no" can be just as difficult. Director Ram Gopal Varma believes that actors must master the art of rejection gracefully. He points to Aishwarya Rai as a perfect example of how to do it tactfully.

A few years ago, a senior star director approached Aishwarya Rai with a new script. The two had previously worked together on a successful film, so the director was hopeful. However, Aishwarya didn't like the new story.

Instead of rejecting the offer outright, she praised the director extensively, lauded his past films, and said the new script was wonderful. She even told him she was keen to do the film and asked him to discuss the rest with her manager the next day.

When the manager met the director, he said that Aishwarya really liked the story — but unfortunately, her schedule was packed. When the director asked how long she would be unavailable, the reply was shocking: seven years.

Ram Gopal Varma, who claims to have witnessed the entire incident, said that Aishwarya deliberately mentioned a seven-year wait to avoid any further pressure from the director. If she had said just two years, the director might have been tempted to wait. But by saying seven, she effectively closed the door without directly saying no.

RGV praised Aishwarya not only for her beauty but also for her cleverness and tact. However, he didn’t reveal the name of the senior director involved.
