Actress Calls For Boycott Of Turkey

Television actress Rupali Ganguly has called for a boycott of Turkey in response to the country’s support for Pakistan after India’s Operation Sindoor. On May 12, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), urging Indian celebrities, influencers, and travelers to cancel their bookings to Turkey as a stand against the country's backing of Pakistan. She emphasized that this was a minimal yet significant action Indians could take.

Her appeal gained support from many netizens who applauded her for voicing her opinion on social media, in contrast to other celebrities who remained silent amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. Some users even called for Indian airlines like Indigo to stop flights to Turkey, while others shared that they had already canceled their trips.

Rupali's call echoed a similar stance taken by singer Vishal Mishra, who also announced he would no longer perform in Turkey and Azerbaijan due to their support for Pakistan.
