Aamir Khan shared that he did not take any payment for Laal Singh Chaddha as the film failed to make a profit. He explained that he earns only from a film’s profits, and since this one didn’t succeed at the box office, he received nothing. He called it a fair rule and said that if a film fails, it is his responsibility to bear the loss.
However, Aamir clarified that this should not be treated as a rule for all actors. He warned that producers should not use his approach to deny payment to others if a film underperforms. According to him, every actor has their own way of working and their own set of values.
He added that he never charges based on the number of days he works. Unlike others who demand fixed fees, Aamir believes in full accountability and ties his earnings to the success of the film.
