It is known that Deepika Padukone walked out of Prabhas’ films Kalki 2 and Spirit. Reports suggested she opted out due to disagreements over working hours. Deepika also hinted at the same issue in her earlier statements. Supporting her, a few other actresses also spoke in favour of an 8-hour work shift.
Recently, Deepika once again commented on work hours. She said that overworking has become “normal” for everyone, and people assume that working more means being more dedicated. She added that no one should work beyond 8 hours.
Deepika explained that only a healthy person can deliver good output. If someone falls sick from overworking, then no matter how many extra hours they put in, it won’t help.
But this time, her comments triggered heavy criticism. Especially, Prabhas fans began trolling her online.
They are now questioning her: “You’re currently working with Shah Rukh Khan. Are you working only 8 hours a day for that film?” Many believe that shooting with Shah Rukh usually takes the entire day, so they wonder how Deepika can limit herself to just 8 hours.
On the other hand, Deepika is also doing a film with Allu Arjun. People are also questioning whether she is restricting herself to 8 hours on that project too. Since the film is said to have extensive graphics and large-scale production, some feel 8 hours a day won’t be enough.
Overall, many think Deepika should avoid commenting any further on work hours.
