Coming for Delivery? Then No Visa- U.S

It is well known that the Trump administration in the U.S. is taking a strict stance on immigration. As part of this, it has implemented tougher rules on issuing visas. Some people travel to America on tourist visas with the intention of giving birth there (birth tourism) to obtain U.S. citizenship for their child.

Addressing such cases, the United States has made an important announcement. The U.S. said that if someone applies for a tourist visa with the intention of giving birth in America, their application will be rejected (No visa).

The U.S. Embassy in India posted this update on X. The post said, “Some tourists are trying to travel to the U.S. to give birth and obtain citizenship for their child. If we learn that someone’s purpose of travel is to give birth in the U.S., their visa application will be denied. Such cases will not be permitted.”
