Gujarat ATS Arrests Man for Leaking Navy Information to Pakistan Spy

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested a man named Pankaj Kotia for allegedly leaking classified Indian Navy information to a Pakistani spy operating under the alias "Ria." Pankaj, who works as a laborer at a tobacco factory in Porbandar, reportedly came into contact with the spy on Facebook, where she had a profile falsely claiming she worked for the Indian Navy.

According to the investigation, the Pakistani agent, posing as Ria, befriended Pankaj on Facebook and persuaded him to share sensitive details about naval locations and ship deployments. She provided him with a WhatsApp number traced back to Pakistan, where he sent the information. The ATS investigation also revealed that the agent paid Pankaj approximately INR 26,000 through multiple UPI transactions to obtain this information.

The case highlights ongoing attempts by foreign agents to extract critical military intelligence using social media platforms. The ATS is continuing its investigation to uncover any additional connections or security breaches.
