Ravi Pandit, the Chairman of KPIT Technologies, is the latest entrant to the Forbes Billionaire list. KPIT provides information technology solutions/ services to the automotive industry and BMW, Ford, General Motors and Honda are some of its clients.

According to Forbes, the net worth of Ravi Pandit currently stands at around $ 1.2 billion. A gold-medallist in Chartered Accountancy, Pandit lists three important principles for companies in the service sector:

1.    A very sharp customer focus

2.    Outstanding domain expertise

3.    Faultless in delivery

Pandit also emphasises the need to have a long-term vision to accumulate wealth. “I think the most important thing is that you have to have a passion for something,” Pandit says. “Second, you must look beyond yourself because otherwise you can't build a team. Focus on customers and be a learner all your life. Long-term wealth creation calls for long-term investments.”
