Heavy Rain In Hyderabad On Polling Day?

Heavy Rain In Hyderabad On Polling Day?

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad predicts heavy rain on Telangana's polling day.

Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected throughout the state. This coincides with the Lok Sabha elections on May 13.

Due to the ongoing extreme heat, the Election Commission of India extended voting hours by one hour- from 7 am to 6 pm.

This applies to 12 Lok Sabha constituencies. Now IMD Hyderabad forecasts heavy rain on Monday.

Recent showers have cooled down temperatures in Telangana.

The highest temperature was 33.7 degrees Celsius in Nagarkurnool and 36.1 degrees Celsius in Khairatabad of Hyderabad.

With heavy rain predicted it's unclear how it will impact voter turnout.

This rises temperatures in the heads of the candidates though the constitution gets cool down.
